Enjoying Cuba

Marina Jagua

Cienfuegos is quaint. To begin with, the entrance is so well marked that I do a night time arrival. It is actually fun. The next morning the officials do a very informal check in. I bike into the downtown section along the broad Malecon. I soon realize that bikers are expected to keep to the left, not to the right as is the usual practice for slower moving traffic. I don't know why, but it does keep me out of the droppings left behind by the numerous horse- drawn taxis. Maybe this is the reason.

There are no prostitutes hanging out around the marina. Cerveza at Marina Jagua is only fifty cents US. A two-piece chicken lunch is only $1 US. I love Cienfuegos.
